So, for those of you who haven't heard the latest craziness for the Baird Family. . . here it is:
Russ's work has asked that he set up a software development office in the Philippines. They would like us to spend 1 year in the Philippines getting the office up and running. Then Russ could manage it from here in the states. We had the choice to just have Russ travel for 1/4 to 1/3 of this year or move the whole family there for a year (the cost was similar). We don't like being separated very much and figured that we would rather all be in on the adventure. And so . . . here we go.
We have cleaned up and moved partially out of our SV house. Some friends of ours, Jim and Regan Hillstead, will rent our house while we are gone. Now we are waiting for our visas to arrive so that we can jump on an airplane.
THIS OUGHT TO BE CRAZY!!!
